Bald Cats like Literature Too

I experienced it all at Litquake:

The Good: hearing the phrase “earnestly pimpled.”

The Bad: heat so intense upstairs at the Elbo Room I had to leave, thus allowing me to hear the phrase “earnestly pimpled” downstairs.

The Ugly: I like cats but damn cat (Yelp informs me his her name may be Ripley), you need some hair!

Any writers that blew your socks off? Strange characters? Anyone else notice and/or find refreshing that the average age on Valencia rose about 20 years last night?

She is a she. Named for the character from the Alien films, believe it or not. And I don’t think she’s ugly…

she’s awesome. my kid loves her.

a little icky, but hey…most of the Mission is a little icky in one way or another.

What a great night. I was at Amnesia for the Music and Writing show. Blag Dahlia killed. Nice to see so many people out for the event – everywhere we went was packed.

Couldn’t get into the Steampunk event at the Montgomery and Market so we got drunk at the Clay instead.
Saw a lady with a Steampunks for Obama pin and a lot of “earnestly” ponytailed men.

Yeah, seriously, you live in the Mission and you don’t know about Ripley? That seems crazy! I was taken to see Ripley several times before I even lived here!
