i overheard some of the crew at around 9am today, remarking in a surprised and astonished way at how “filthy” and “ghetto” the area was, as they stood there drinking their coffees and munching their croissants, amid the heroin deals and staggering crack hos.

i imagine they were saying those things in the most positive way possible….cause it was like, you know, arty and good for the film.
