i lived out there from 2003 – 2005. Crocker Amazon.

i guess the bar on Geneva now called Broken Record gets some play.

otherwise, it’s a really quiet, really family-oriented neighborhood. very high % of longtime residents, like generations. very old school SF hood. one of the last i would say.

some good food out there (chick-n-coop, boos voni, blue iguana taqueria, han’s hunan, a few Filipino joints…used to be mom is cooking).

it’s also pretty close to both vis valley and sunnydale, though where i lived you’d never really know it.

that said, the safeway over there – at 1am – can be kinda scary.

I saw a guy hit his girl from across a crowded bar. They were in a nook next to the bathroom. I threw my pint glass over my shoulder and sprinted at him. I was really drunk or I probably wouldn’t have sprinted through a crowd, or thrown a pint glass over my shoulder into a crowd. But I sprinted over and shoved him against the wall. There were four bouncers grabbing at he and I like five seconds later. After I told them what was going on his girl came up crying and begging them not to hurt him. Sick.
