and no set of rules to insist that folks who cant take care of themselves enter such services.

totally broken and fucked up system.

far as this particular person, get used to it.

the economy is in the dumps,
hard drug sales are always up in a down economy,
SF’s homeless population grows every year regardless of the economy,
and sf continues to funnel its homeless into the mission.

business as usual, just more so.

Picture it, 26th and Valencia, 7am, in front of Clooneys. I’m walking to bart, minding my own business. There’s a crusty lady in a large, zipped up coat, workman boots and some tube socks. She’s talking to some early morning clooneys patrons, trying to bum smokes. She succeeds and as she walks away, the jacket opens and she’s wearing nothing but a sports bra under her coat and a bush that’s been growing since the 70′s. Ugh. Too early for that shit.
