If you read my comment, I recognize that fact: “Users of Foursquare … have quite a bit of hate for Dolores Park.” Obviously you cannot blame the site (just like one couldn’t blame Yelp is a venue was rated poorly). Still, the list was still a little odd, especially given how many Missionites have superuser status.

Users are the ones adding tags to locations on FourSquare. So it’s really not the unpopular website’s fault. In fact, if I had to guess, I would say it’s probably some hipster-in-denial tagging “fixie knoll” and “hipster hive.” There’s a lot of dissociation and self-loathing going on in that world…
