I'm so pleased to see more SF honey!! Please forgive me if you think I shouldn't post the following below, but I can't think of any better place for like-minded folks to find me! Thanks!:
---------------------
Is anyone looking for property in SF for their beekeeping operation? There's approximately 1 acre available in Little Hollywood (west of Bayview, south of Portola).

Please contact me at heatherr@pobox.com

Don't we need more bees? Or is it bumble bees?
Hey! Maybe they'll sell honey wine(aka Mead)!
Man, sometimes things aren't very useful or exciting to me until I can figure out a way to make them alcoholic.

Beer establishments in the Mission are like cathedrals in England. A handful would be great, too many are boring. This store is new and offers a brilliant mix of aesthetics, practical beekeeping supplies and info, local honey and evening beekeeping classes. San Francisco is full of locavores and enviro geeks - I can't think of a better city for HMSB. For you skeptics, check out the store - you'll learn much more than looking at a business plan.

Well that's certainly... different.

Doubt this place will be around in a year or two though.

Maybe once the business dries up she can change it to "Her Majesty's Secret Beerkeeper" and sell honey beer. That idea would probably work in the Mission.
