accurate, kind, and from the heart.

i bet none of the snarky haters expected orchids and flute, along with epic mulletude....now did you?

Yes, these are my neighbors (very nice people) and I can confirm a mulletude of 10 for the left-hand companion. It's a slightly bushy flat-top that lets out very precisely into a down-the-back wavy waterfall. The photo does not do it justice. He's madly into orchids, while his partner plays the flute in local musical productions, if that helps anyone fine-tune their sociological studies.

These are not (necessarily) mullets (although thorough checking of front and side trim would be necessary to determine conclusively). These seem more like full-on ponytails, pulled back with longer side hair - which perhaps qualify better for aging Mission hipster. Mullets were never really "hipster" (unless you count Paul McCartney) - hence, the Beasties' song - and were never really "Mission". In a hipster age preceding the prevalence of the mullet in popular culture (or caricature thereof), ponytails (on men) were alternative chic and even political, and very SF.
