You have got to be kidding. I can look out my window and see that much trash right now. Last week strolling down my block of Shotwell I saw two loveseats, a chair, countless flyers and fast food sacks, and more piles of excrement than I could count. Step back to reality and realize that Valencia has little if anything in common with the rest of the Mission.

You’re out of your mind! WTF is clean about negotiating minefields of human excrement on one’s way to BART in the morning? Valencia Street is downright sterile compared to the rest of the Mission (i.e. east of Mission Street).

I’ve seen piles of trash approaching that size in the Mission, but never on a street as busy as Valencia, only on residential streets.

As a former resident of that neighborhood and current Mission resident, don’t judge so harshly. You caught Allston-Brighton right as one group of students are moving out of their shithole apartments and as another group is moving in, when discarded refuse is at its highest. You can find some great stuff in the discard piles, tho, so it’s not all bad.
