And YES, they have Switzerland!
Party time:

The evite says the event is being hosted by Oliver & Sabec, an arts and entertainment law group.
Totally gonna slip them my demo and try to get it in the right hands.* Watch for my band’s LP to drop this fall.**
* There is no demo
** There is no band
Bender’s just got a little more sketch. From CBS 5:
The victim, who is not a San Francisco resident, had pulled over near 19th Street and South Van Ness Avenue shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday to adjust something in the trunk of her car, San Francisco police Sgt. Lyn Tomioka said.
A pickup truck pulled up next to her and a man inside forced her into the cabin of his vehicle, Tomioka said. He drove her around for a few minutes before taking her purse, stopping the truck and forcing her to get out [about a mile away from the kidnapping].
A hot tip fresh from the twitternets:
ZOMBIE BAR CRAWL IN MISSION FRI NITE 7pm+ —-> starting@ dirty thieves then onward. we bring makeup! you bring necrophilia!
Hopefully we’ll get more info soon.

Eater SF alerts us to the return of Southern Fried Night next Wednesday, September 30th:
More of a special night than a deal: the annual Southern Fried Night, wherein the menu includes items like Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Frog Legs, Fried Alligator Balls and Fried Chorizo Pie, among others. Reservations will go quickly.
I’m really into this place. My bf and I even purchased the restaurant’s first for-sale bottle of Youk’s Hot Sauce, before they’d printed up the labels. No biggie, okay?
Go reserve now if you have yet to do so! OpenTable‘s doing that thing where it suggests totally bummer dining times already.

San Francisco band Girls was on the front page of Pitchfork again this morning (sorry dudes, I read Pitchfork), which led me to spend the last hour at work watching Girls music videos. Oops!
Unsurprisingly, most of them feature SF scenery. Here’s one I came across today that I hadn’t seen before – starring Dolores Park:
Not my favorite song (“Lust for Life” is!), but still not bad.
These dudes are getting crazy famous, so see them at the Swedish American Hall on November 20th or Bottom of the Hill on November 21st before they start playing bigger venues. Awesome.

Happening this Friday:
CELLspace needs a bit of velo-loving, so all are invited to stop by for a night of bikes, beer, and bands. Since 1996, the CELL has supported the arts as well as alternative transportation. For RIDE TOO!, we would like to also welcome back our old neighbors, the Bike Kitchen to their new shop back on Florida Street. Proceeds from this event will go to cover rent for CELLspace as well as help fund the new Mural Project on 633 Florida St. (which will include a Bike Kitchen mural).
