Well, Jay’s is hardly the best chessesteak place in the Mission. That honor goes to Phat Philly’s.

In fact, I would be hesitant to call any place that puts mustard and mayonnaise on a cheese steak a steak joint at all. Absolutely clueless.

Im not sure if i can throw myself 100% behind this statement, but i do have to agree, that a lot of processed “vegan” food, much like highly processed “vegetarian” food, is often a nutritional disaster. “Vegetarian” != “vegetables”

See, foon, this is what happens when you let enthusiasm press “submit comment” for you. You ask a perfectly valid and good rhetorical question like:

“Does it make your cheesesteak that much worse if mine has vegan mayo on it?”

A good question, valid to the topic and focused. And then you completely fuck it up by saying something ignorant like:

“THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS GAY MARRIAGE”

I get what youre trying to say.. but next time, try to say it with less stupid. You dilute your argument when you dont think your statements through.

I don’t agree that Jay’s Cheesesteaks has hte best sandwiches in the Mission. They only make one kind of sandwich, it’s kind of soggy. Mr Pickles whips its ass, tortas at El Metate, Pal’s on 24th street! Q.E.D. bitches

the problem i take it is the eggs. i’m mystified as to how eggs make the stuff taste worse. there seems to be a view held by some that ‘vegan” just tastes better. all vegan means is that no animal products were used it’s neutral. most of the time it just means no eggs or no milk. half the time things are labeled vegan I wonder why i would have expected anything else. and then everyone seems to have an exemption for bacon.
