Across The Mission

Troy Holden, photographer from the supergroup Caliber and formerly Plug 1 (I can stop saying that now, right?) has really been tearing it up lately and before Brittney can . . . okay, never mind, she already posted this, but I still wanted to put it up. It’s a view of our neighborhood, and I get to do that. Just look at it for a moment, please. It’s amazing.
At This Hour Of The Day
I usually only put up my own pics, but even my ego’s not large enough to hold this one back.

    We live here.

The quality of light in this shot is amazing. I love the shadows spilling over the hills.

(And Ariel, if it makes you feel any better, it is Brittney’s job to post first.)

Is all that misty smokey stuff over Twin Peaks the dust cloud generated from the Muni train derailment yesterday?

Is that 21st or 22nd St in focus?

I do believe that the front flank is Liberty Hill, but I’ve never seen the bulk at this angle – very, very cool.

-> yodamahoda: I’m not fully awake yet, but I’m guessing Potrero, from somewhere near the Community Garden area? A few blocks south? but near the western face of the hill…

It’s 20th – you can see John O’Connell High on the right. (21st is the street that lines up with Sutro. Think of the digital upgrades and modern “21st” Century TV.)

    Thanks, johnny0 -

(ashamed as I live on 20th on Liberty Hill)

OK, I’m awake enough to see it now :)
