No, I’m not talking about rounding up litterbugs and dumpers. Just *you* picking up some trash and throwing it out.

I clean up half of my block every other day. 40s, cups, paper, Swisher Sweets wrapeprs, clothes, etc. It takes 15-20 minutes, and I bring my coffee with me. Then I go to work. DPW can’t do it all. And considering how much DPW work costs, I’d rather leave to them the work that I can’t do (i.e. furniture, TVs, hypo needles, human dung, etc.).

It doesn’t always take a village. Just you, a pixstix, a garbage bag, and calls to 311 for DPW-style pickups.

I don’t *object* to these group cleanups, but we don’t need to wait for them to do anything. It’s Easy(tm).
