Little known fact. bi-rite market (across the street) sells the same ice cream in pints, no line no wait. They’ll even give you a spoon. I never understood that line. Is everyone getting a sundae?

what a snooty and defensive way to slam a totally innocuous eatery, apparently born out of some sort of jealousy because you don’t like the same sandwiches that a lot of other people do?

people have different tastes, chill. it may come as breaking news but sandwich preferences are subjective . . .

on second thought, i hope more people become too cool for Ike’s, that would help shorten the lines.

Just skip to the front and get a pint or an ice-cream sandwich. This line is equivalent to queueing at cable-car turnarounds instead of walking a block to the next stop.

I’m with you. Ike’s is like the Beanie Baby or Pet Rock of restaurants. The line always looks like what you would imagine power sellers on ebay look like.

Now Miss May’s loving hands, the sandwich shop over at 691 14th, that place was amazing, though I haven’t been their since they took the hiatus a few years back.

Not worth it, but I’ve only really bothered once. I’m more of a Xanath/Three Twins/Yotopia sort. Keepin’ it simpler than these carmalized balsamic whatnots.

it’s definitely wait-in-line-for-fifteen-minutes good. and from my experience, even when the line is approaching the corner of dolores st, it’s not going to take longer than that until you’ve earned your sweet rewards.

the salted caramel, however, is tasty but overrated.
