Different story if the vehicle is not in view, eg: “they’re on their way”. Conversely, it is a dick move to swoop into a spot that another person is positioning to park in (ala Seinfeld- where one driver is properly backing into a spot and another driver noses into the spot).

I stood in the closest available spot to our venue for my husband to park our van loaded with equipment. Would you believe 2 women in an SUV demanded that space just for the shade? I explained we need it to unload heavy equipment; he went back to get our van (parked about 1/2 mile away).

There were tons of spaces 10 spaces away but no, they wanted my space. While carrying heavy equipment, I’m sorry, dear, but every step counts!

The bitch tried to run me over.
