10 – A lobbyist in Washington
11 – Billions of dollars in public documents printed in your language
12 – Millions of servicemen and women who are willing to – and do – die
for your right to the ways and means of our @#$%—-ution
13 – And the right to carry the flag of your country – the one you walked
out on – while you call America racist and protest that you don’t get
enough respect.

I am heartened by the sane and rational reactions of commenters to this Theater of The Absolutely Ridiculous and Absurd. WTF were the cops thinking? WERE they thinking? How does this become normalized and acceptable?

For only ONE thing, this is child abuse at its finest. Violence and savagery against the young who learned an important lesson that day. Modeling the finest adult behavior from those committed to “protect and serve.” Oh, I forgot — we now have the Stazi fully in place. Of course! So, let’s just go about our lives and let it happen because there’s NOTHING WE CAN DO, right? Outrageous!

Im sure SFPD has better things to do than to patrol the park and specifically target these kids. If anything, some whiny neighbor probably complained about it or are hammering down on SFPD to crack down on soliciting. When it comes to enforcement, SFPD has to treat everyone the same whether it’s a lemonade stand or a crack dealer. Sucks but this is what Nimbyism has resulted in.

With school funding down, parents are constantly being badgered to raise money for their schools. There’s only so much a kid can do — selling raffle tickets, cookies, lemonade, etc.
