Heron's Head Park

It’s come to my attention a lot of people haven’t been to Heron’s Head Park.

If you haven’t been to Heron’s Head Park, get thee there. Here’s a map.

And probably the sunniest part of the city. Might as well be Oakland.

Islais Landing / Pier 90 is pretty fascinating as well.

There’s a reason for that! It’s called toxic waste and projects.

Heron’s Head is home to the city’s only completely off-the-grid building, the new eco education center built by Literacy for Environmental Justice (helping the youth in hunter’s point experience more than elevated asthma rates from the environment) & volunteers. Its an inspiring place where the power of community and the magic of nature can take your breath away. They have open volunteer days too, and a Coastal Clean up event coming up on September 25th.
Also a great place to sneak away mid day, mid week.
