Ballin' Down 24th

image

Approaching from behind I thought, “Oh hey, here’s one of those Chryslers that’s supposed to look like a Bentley.  How quaint.”  Then I got closer and realized it was a Bentley.  On 24th.

They must have been getting tacos.

UPDATE: Apparently it is in fact an undercover Chrysler (still quaint) and I should probably take my employer up on their free vision plan. I still hope they got tacos though.

A hooker cut to look like Lana Turner is still a hooker.

    She *is* Lana Turner.

That is to say, it *is* a Chrysler, not a Bentley that looks like a Chrysler which was made to look like a Bentley.

Yep, that’s definitely still a Chrysler.

Let’s say it was a Bentley.. or let’s say it was a Maybach.
    Who cares?

the answer i guess, is that if indeed it was a bentley then there is a piercing social critique on class, status, and gentrification. Nice cars in the mission, Get the fuck out of here!?111?1!!!

(maybe that the author confused a 30K car for a 300K car means that such a critique is still in play?)

I have the 1970 version of this car ( the 300 ) in a convertible. Never felt the need to disguise it as a Bentley.

Bob Guccione is dead people. That car is just his avatar.

Lol, you thought that car was a Bentley??
