I go to the Van Ness location. It’s a crappy store but the people that work there are really nice. I feel bad for them. Being unemployed sucks.

I live in the Castro, and our local store is closing in two weeks as well, so that makes sense. Totally sucks though, I really like our store.

Traffic and parking would be a night mare with a Trader Joe’s this is already a densely packed and parked neighborhood. T.Joes should partner up with other retailers and offer shuttle buses at fixed points in the City to the stores here is SF and Daly City. I think the employees at Delano’s 18th are wonderful and hard working so this is very sad as they all support families. Finally, affordable condo’s above with a reasonably priced organic food store above would be fantastic.

Just so everyone knows…. ALL Delano’s locations (18th Street, Geary Blvd, Van Ness, Mission, etc.) are closing in two (2) weeks, not just the Mission. Staff were given the boot on Wednesday, just before Thanksgiving.

Need to make sure the staff in all locations know that when a location closes, that they must pay you 60 days salary. It is a law in California.

Talk to EDD and let them know all the stores are closing.

Did someone just use a Delano’s/FoodsCo comparison? FoodsCo is for if you are REALLY fuc king poor and must get a shitload of Ramen, a cheap pizza, a $5 roasted chicken and possibly a couple of diseases down the line.
