F Your Q

Lost Weekend Video continues their assault on poor, defenseless little old Netflix. Who will come out the winner? All I know is that Netflix never offered a “Klaus Kinski tries to chop off Werner Herzog’s head with a machete” T-shirt, and that’s not helping them.

gosh, maybe if there was more customer service and less attitude I would still be a customer there.

  2. MrEricSir says:

Maybe they SHOULD go out of business, did that ever occur to them?

I’m pretty sure the corner grocery store wouldn’t win any customers by putting anti-Safeway signs up.

I wonder how many people lamenting the death of the video rental store are also still crying over the death of rotary phones and dictaphones.

You guys suck. Lost Weekend has always been awesome and friendly. The problem is their draconian late fee system, which I do understand is what helps them stay in business.

    Truly, fuck your queues.

      Hear, hear.

Totally agree. I love Lost Weekend, and prefer renting from them, but I almost always end up with a late fee. They’re usually good about not charging the whole thing, but it still ends up more costly and more of a pain in the ass than Netflix.

And the “attitude” all depends on who you get. Some of them are great. Some are total dicks.

eh, mixed db quotient. I’d have attitude too if I had to work with the public, cause people are snotty.

Lost Weekend rules! If you don’t want late fees, return your rentals on time. Even when circumstances have prevented me from a timely return, dudes there have always knocked a few bucks off my late fee. And with their hosting live music in their store, how can you really hate on them?

It’s a tough business when you have to base it on punishing your customers. Today it is video stores, book stores are next on the hitlist.

    • Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

Yes, many is the time I have lamented how book stores punish their customers.

      oh, wait.

  8. Maria says:

I love them, but their “attitude” killed it for me.
It is not my fault to be a foreign, Sorry! And i left it there… netflix doesn’t pretend not to understand my name….

The less we support Mission businesses the more the Mission becomes like any other neighborhood in anywhere, USA.
