I'm a citizen in S.F. who has been inside the Ingleside Station and seen something like a photo mural of gang members/suspects in the Mission/Bernal H. areas. Organized pictorials, and parole and/or probationers' information exist; and if I were a command police officer, I would supply this type of data to patrol officers who work especially during the times of possible shootings & stabbings, & other crime stuff to make quick the decision to detain, question, and arrest those persons.
From working for the City & County within the Mission, policeman have told me that to approach a Spanish individual especially when doing something like congregating, congregating while drinking, or just standing in one spot on earth, a policeman could be acused of a political crime. I've heard policeman avoid those types of approaches.
In cases where citizens are being MURDERED by a mere mistake, I would break through those "political" rationales of patrolling, and step face-up to any suspicious person, in any neighborhood!!! Even if it boarders the "wise, complex", sanctuary rule of San Francisco.
Otherwise, thank you SFPD for being the police department you are; I wish I was there!!!

I actually had to fill one of these out after experiencing a nice little taste of a Shotwell and 15th mugging that busted my ankle and foot. The officers on the case were actually totally amazing--spent all night with me at SF General and came to my work several times with info on the case. And they made an arrest about two weeks later. And they were both tall and gorgeous :) Have to say--pretty awesome.
