It is NEEEEEEVER faster to go down Potrero. Ever. Those are seriously some of the most intentionally worst timed lights in the history of traffic control.

I live at 21st and Hampshire and last night someone hacked down a stop sign to steal some mopeds. Maybe there was a spree. Most likely, just a terrible driver like everyone else in this city.

Or maybe it was a person having a medical emergency and they were en route to General. It doesn’t say which direction they were going, and ambulances are really really expensive.

Not to play devil’s advocate, but maybe he was en route to the emergency vet? I’ve often wondered what I’d do in such an emergency, since you can’t call an ambulance, but require the same EVERYBODY OUT OF MY WAY access. There’s an emergency vet at Harrison and 19th. Just maybe.
