Again, I agree with 0101. It’s twisted to see how the violence has been romanticized. The complexities of the violent swell that’s been created is not a capulet vs montague – novela. It’s NOT a chance to say, “hey, that’s the mission for you”, it’s a time to ask questions about how we can prevent this from happening again – and that solution DOESNT start with “move the problem”.

I agree with 0101. The issue is deeply seeded and twisted. Communities are being marginalized due to the influx/changes in the economy. Then restaurant jobs/ and jobs in general become more scarce, thus pushes people further underground, and more desperate for any means of getting by. So they turn on each other for the societal scraps that exist. All the while people are still concerned with “OMG THE FUTURE OF DOLORES PARK” instead of trying to pull up the local community.

It’s not “fun” and nobody loves this. Even though we’re on the internet, this is still a real thing that happened and it’s not good for anyone. We all live here and we all have to deal with this. I walk by this corner every day, as do . . . I dunno . . . a couple thousand people? A neighbor of mine hid alongside a building with his two kids as the gunmen ran by. My mom was on her way to Pancho Villa at the time. This is happening to all of us.
