Most architectural lettering pre-1980 comes from templates or custom letters, not the fonts you might use for printing. So finding a digital match is rare and you won't for this one. Closest font is probably Refrigerator Deluxe (see the alternates below).

OK, this is now driving me nuts -- what font is that? You can see a bit of the outline of the original A in white under the turquoise paint. Kind of a boring Regency Gothic Three? (I like RG2 better myself -- its S kicks ass.)
