When I was in college circa 1983, Husker Du played all the time. So much so that it was never an event. Black Flag, Sonic Youth, The Minutemen, Bad Brains, MDC, Big Boys et al, came through rarely. So they were hugely attended. But Husker Du playing all the time, not so much. It's funny back then I liked them OK, but hardly my favorite. Now, I love them. Land Speed Record is my favorite. Everything Falls Apart just flows on and on. Wheels is such a great song. Gravity is amazing. On you tube there are 4 songs from an SF show back in the day. Check them out.

actually it's not a fru fru expensive place-- it's really amazing food at a really good price considering the quality of ingredients, the care, creativity and skill that goes into the preparation. also, the atmosphere is fun and not stuffy, with warm, knowledgeable staff. bob mould chose that place for a reason.
