I know the place you mean and I disagree, it’s not got all of the bells and whistles of a proper San Francisco tacqueria, there’s only one type of beans for example but for somewhere in the UK it’s not bad.

Oh and they’re not $16 they’re £4.99 which is about $8.

It is the same place as previously reported on (The Mission Mexican Grill) they’ve just rebranded. They also have sites in Reading and Bristol in the UK.

To their credit, they’re claiming San Francisco heritage — “from Mexico via San Francisco to the UK”. Says they spent a lot of time in the Mission and are trying to recreate that there.

Looks like it’s the same company as the previous place mentioned (The Mission), just a second location.

Also, it’s not really authentic unless they offer Lengua.

How do you figure that something has to be originally Mexican to be authentic. Mission burritos are authentic San Francisco food. We have every right to mock anyone anywhere doing them wrong. Arguably MORE of a right than we have to judge foodstuffs that WEREN’T invented here.

I can’t speak for Oxford, but I lived in Cambridge in ’08/09 and there was a “Mission-style burrito” place there. It was horrible, and the burritos cost about $16.
