SF has been getting Disneyfied (like so many other cities of culture), and Valencia has been a place out of the financial/social control of Biz for too long. Biz is greedy and wants it all.

To do that, they need prime locations, not the alleys and side streets.

They’re always empty because they’re selling drunk food without serving booze, on account of being Muslim. But they do make a tasty pizza.

Being from NY, I immediately knew a front when I saw one, called them out on it, and told them if they wanted to be part of the neighborhood try opening for business more than 3 days/month.

They are almost excessively obsequious about taking your order and delivering. There are some bad Yelp reviews talking about covertly gross attitudes having something to do with conservative religion, but those are Yelp reviews anyone could have left and who the hell knows. It’s hard to get good pizza delivery around here.
