Great. And now the work on my street that should have been finished in May is interrupted, presumably because all the workers had to go over there (I’m on the potrero side of sf general).
I’m telling you, it’s not the earthquakes that will take sf down, it’s the state of the sewer/water system.

DISCLAIMER: I am an employee of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

At approximately 2:30 pm this afternoon, a 12” water main pipe on 21st Street between Potrero Ave and Hampshire St was accidentally broken, likely by the contractor working on a sewer main project on this street, unconfirmed at this time. SF Water department has been easing the flow of water as this line is also responsible for servicing SF General Hospital. Low pressure has been reported and will continue until repairs are completed. Repairs are estimated to take until 10:00 p.m. this evening.
