Hello! That’s my picture of my lovely friend Josie. Just wanted to say that she’s drinking Fernet Branca not Branca Menta, that stuff is yuckmo to me.

Oh, yeah and it has a legacy of popularity here in S.F. and in Argentina due to Italian communities that immigrated here. It probably helps that during prohibition era you could still get Fernet in S.F. as Medicine. Speaking of I might get some Medicine before I go see Lilac at the Li-Po tonight.

Damn, that’s actually Fernet Menta(Mint flavored variety) in the picture, no self respecting Fernet aficionado I know touches that stuff.

I love Fernet, I still cringe at the taste but I love the effect one or two shots has on my attitude. Jäegermeister is sickly sweet and based on the herb Gentian like those little Underberg bottles you can buy at Amnesia.

@IHateHipsters you should know the “Hipster” drink of choice is a flask of Ancient Age.
