It’s never too long of a wait as the light is pretty fast, and as a cyclist, it behooves you to be patient.

What flummoxes me is that weird eastbound section of Market around 10th/11th St where the bike lane is suddenly to the left of the right turn lane, thus forcing you to bike across a lane of traffic to stay in the bike lane. I gather that somehow this is supposed to be better, but I find it incredibly stressful when there’s any traffic around me, and on occasion I’ve had to just pull over and wait for an opportunity just to stay in my lane.

My personal nightmare is always getting in to the left turn lane on to Valencia when travelling up Market from the Gough intersection. Speeding cars, MUNI cars and rails and other bikers always seem to make it tricky.
