Bullhorn handlebars

Have some old bike parts lying around that you haven’t figured out what to do with? Might I suggest taking a page from Picasso’s book of interior design, and making this sweet bull’s head sculpture? Less creepy than a real animal’s head, and more macho than one of those Paxton Gate plush animal head trophies.

See this piece (and many others) in person at the de Young through October 11th.

    That’s actually pretty clever…

Hopefully when taking this you didn’t get loudly chastized by two old ladies, as I did, for unobtrusively taking a pic (quickly with my iPhone, no sound, no flash). “IF THE RULES APPLY TO EVERYONE WHY DON’T THEY APPLY TO YOU?” I kept myself from responding by just reminding myself that they will die soon.

Great exhibit, BTW, if too light on informational plaques for my taste (maybe do the audio tour?).

Not very original. There is a piece exactly like this hanging in an archway at Picaro on 16th between Valencia and Guerrero.
