The Mission IS San Francisco

While not as mesmerizingly beautiful as the last map we featured here, this cartographic offering more than makes up for it with controversy.  Available in a variety of colors here.

I really do hate leaving the city.

  2. gross says:

if the person who made this map was from SF they would know it is ARMY street.

  3. Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

I more or less agree with this map.

  4. kiya says:

My only change would be that “oakland” would say “East Coast”.

    • inlimbo says:

The east coast is outside of California and therefore doesn’t exist, Oakland is about the furthest East a mission hipster can get without bursting into flames.

      • GG says:

I spent many years living in Walnut Creek before I moved to SF, during which time I was (justifiably) treated as if I lived on another planet.

  5. scum says:

A very boring idea of what S.F. is.

  6. Pedro Navaja says:

Next to, “the Marina” I would add: aka West Fresno

  7. Chuck says:

I see where you’re trying to go with this, but the mish is generally far too flat for anyone to consider calling it the true San Francisco.

  8. void says:

Does this mean Dolores park isn’t even in the Mission? Is this square, troublemakin’ cartographer trying to make off with the park?!?!

  9. Dave says:

Wow that’s not arrogant at all.

  10. Hillary says:

So lame. Where is the Tenderloin? In the Marina? Get out of the Mission and you would realize there is more to the city than the mission filled with pale hipsters. I love the mission but get a life.

  11. BK says:

Dumb. If they extended it north to Market St, west to Diamond, and south to Cortland, then maybe I could fux with it.

  12. Soledad Dolores says:

    sorrows.
