    SFMTA parking hotline: 415.554.PARK (7275)

  3. jmsgrady says:

Is it legal to park in the bike lane? If SFMTA is called will they do anything? Cars are in the bike lane all the time – let’s just switch! Bikes in the car lane all the time!

  4. Jamin Time says:

Drivers seem to prefer to park in the bike lane than in front a garage, even when sitting in the car. I don’t get it.

We should make bumper stickers that read: “I drive in bike lanes, therefore I am an asshole” and we can all just put them on cars that do it.

This is bullshit. Anyone else want to join me with a 1-star yelp review to try and get our message across?

  6. Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

That’s pretty fucked up, right there. What, if any, are the legal options for dealing with this? Just calling the meter maids and hoping they show up in a timely fashion?

I used to go to the front door of “Thrill of the Grill” when they blocked the bike lane and yelled at the owner until they came out and moved their delivery car. I asked nice the first 2 times. Might work in this case also.

NIMBLIES? Not In My Bike Lane?

  9. beau d says:

looking forward to when they eventually switch the bike lanes to the center median.

I hate bikes on my sidewalk.

  11. Chontello says:

Heeeeeeelllll nooo.. The Mission DOES NOT have valet parking. GO AWAY marina goons.

    • sfthen says:

Valencia St had valet parking, but before the bicycle types moved in and turned Valencia into a suburb of the Marina. Valencia is no longer part of the Mission.

Out front of Slanted Door on Valencia was valet parking.

    >the bicycle types moved in and turned Valencia into a suburb of the Marina

This makes no sense. Maybe try again, using different stereotypes.

NIMBLIES is official!!! Put that shit in rotation. It will eventually be used against us, so proceed with caution.

Hey all, I totally feel you on the bike lane deal. Riding in SF is fucked as is, but on the flip-side, I think launching an attack on a small business ran by a young dude from SF, who skates and bikes SF, and employes a ton of artists, skaters, and college students around SF kinda goes against what this site, and SF is about. I’m speaking about the parking company that works for Locanda.. They are the only valet company that truly supports their employees, and treats them fairly. Has anyone contacted the valet company? I’m sure if someone spoke to them (rather than attack) a lot could be resolved. I have friends that work for them, and it would suck if the result of all this ended up with a ton of folks loosing their jobs. And yes, cars in the bike lane sucks ass too..

  15. Sorry just trying to work says:

The valet can’t help it that people do not read the sign, and back up the bike lane, then give us the keys like that’s how it works. It’s not the valets fault, it’s the people trying to get valet.
