I understand where you’re coming from, but when you think about it, you could say the same thing about everything. I mean, refrigerators are storage space for food that isn’t even being used. Kegs are storage space for beer that isn’t even being used. Houses are storage space for stuff that isn’t even being used for a lot of the day, etc, etc.

If you think about it, by definition parking is storage space for cars that aren’t even being used.

It’s an enormous waste of space.
