There are cops trolling around for ANY infraction, parking or not. I got a ticket for having an expired registration on my used car which I’d just bought and had the interim paper from the dealer with the vin# displayed in the window. This is a legal protocol during transition. The Alameda police said I NEVER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN the ticket. Another bewildered patron came to their car at the same time puzzled at a ticket for having a crack in their windshield.
