Du Nord is too big and it’s a Noisepop show. Noisepop shows don’t have any bands that need support. Shannon is great I’ve seen her a bunch and even deejayed one of her shows at the Stud, but she’s playing heavily promoted shows (like Noisepop and The Bruise Cruise) and I don’t feel the need to truck down there when it’s probably going to be “sold out” due to press passes. I’d rather see a show in my hood by a band that’s doing something a little different and doesn’t have the support of Noisepop.

No, I don’t think they wouldn’t have sold out. I think more “normal” non media folk would have been there. I’m just full of unjustified internet haterade for this Noisepop bullshit. I think it’s a little overhyped by the media because of all of the free passes they give out. And, I don’t think they give local bands much of a chance to be a part of it. Thanks for playing along.
