Lug nuts on the wheels are a giveaway. It most likely has a VW bug engine in the back and the grill/front section are empty. The real deal is worth $$$. Still a cool car and probably a blast to drive around.

Late 90′s dotcom time, esp. – the sky was *totally* falling. And yet, the old folks and their three generation households persist all over the Mission. It turns out that rent control and Prop. 13 do an amazing job of keeping people right where they are. Whether that’s a good thing, I don’t know.

Unfortunately, it made a left turn onto 20th. I didn’t know it was on Capp St. Glad to see someone else managed to take a pic.
