Fair Oaks Street Fair is tomorrow!

Once a year, usually during a particularly warm stretch of days, five blocks of Fair Oaks Street (between Guerrero and Dolores) transforms into a massive garage sale.

And I can’t think of a better setting in which to get your thrift on — this Saturday promises pleasant temperatures in the mid-70s, and Fair Oaks Street always promises to be one of the loveliest tree-and-flower-lined streets this neighborhood has to offer (as well as being a half-block away from the Ames Alley community gallery).

Plus, you can hunt for that perfect Mother’s Day present you may have forgotten to buy.

It’s pretty much a big bake sale, but I keep going back in hope that it will someday return to its awesomeness in the ’90s.

It’s actually every mothers day weekend. We were so excited to open our front door (on fair oaks) to an elderly mother of sorts about to take a piss on our doorstep. I guess its revenge for all those times at bay to breakers.

    Boo fair oaks st fair…boo!

I just want to thank everyone who came out to Fair Oaks St. for our yearly garage and food sale. I sold out my chicken tamales and was told that they were really good. Well hope you see you all next year…it’s always the Saturday before Mother’s Day.

And is it Tony…the gentleman who bought 12 of them. You can locate me at myraparkerherrera@yahoo.com and I can hook you up with more!!!!

I believe that our community is a great one and everyone should and does work together to keep it up. I think more posters should be put up for better advertising of the event please!! Especially in the Upper Noe Valley and Lower Mission Districts. We are on the borderline of both neighborhoods and the two communities are and well blend as one!
