He just supported the stolen bike industry, meaning whoever stole it will now go steal another bike, since there’s a market for it.

And the chances of his finding the owner really aren’t that great, so there’s probably no upside to it.

Posting it here is just trying to ease his conscience, and personally, as someone who’s had a lot of bikes stolen over the years, I hope that conscience is never completely eased.
