Unfortunately a crowded event can be a pickpocket’s dream. I think this story confirms that you need to take a few small steps to both minimize the risk that you will lose your valuables.

If you are going to a crowded event make sure you only take the bare essentials, and ensure you have a closed pocket to put your items into.
