“Rarely cynical”? Nearly every comment you leave on this website is, to some extent, negative or judgmental. I wouldn’t call an interest in the fashion industry “underground”, just as I wouldn’t call Barneys, which carries Opening Ceremony, a low-traffic OR local shop. This is San Francisco, interests are not uniform & homogeneous here- how that has somehow missed your field of perception, I’m unsure.

Me? Actually, I’m rarely cynical. Just genuinely surprised that people have that level of interest in shoes. Apparently SF is home to a vast underground shoe enthusiast community… you learn something new every day.
