Bad Blood with Joshua Cobos: Mouse Mask

Every week, photographer Joshua Cobos shoots a roll of film just for us. He picks the best 13 photos and we post them here, and it’s called “Bad Blood with Joshua Cobos.” Here’s what Joshua has to say about this week’s installment:

Rocky told me about these mouse masks they had in the back of Foxy Lady on Mission St. Turns out the mask is an old Italian costume mask, pretty strange to find it in the dust of an old Erotic Boutique. I spent a week taking photographs of the mask in some situations I felt would contrast the intended purpose, my friends were thoroughly creeped out.

Thanks, Joshua! Ten more shots after the jump:

I like the anonymity this mask gives. It kind of became white noise to me somewhere throughout the roll and it was interesting to see photos of people without identifying them. A+ joshy!

cool photoshot with this creepy mask…it looks funny though how every person somehow changes the mask’s expression only by being different in gestures.
