Biking through Lake Dolores

Is this bad for your bike?  Because I did something like this and now I’m worried about the whole thing crumbling from rust or some shit like that.

Hose it off and wash your clothes. SF has a combined sewer system so there is a good chance that some sewage is involved in that flood.

  2. Yaku Kari says:

In major storms it drains to the Bay – or doesn’t drain as the case may be. Most of the time the storm drains go to sewage treatment plants.

  3. Missionite says:

The drain to the bay symbols are for awareness, not to throw used car oil or paint products into sewers ,because it goes out to the bay.

pee is sterile. so just piss all over your bike & yourself & you’ll be fine.

The key part of your question is “shit like that”

    Yes, it is.

  6. mazzy says:

well, at least it finally slows them down at an intersection.

  7. Hater says:

Not only is your bike done but you are probably going to die.

Go get your bottom bracket looked at. That’s the thing most likely to be damaged by being submersed in water.

Yup, bottom bracket and possibly hubs. Maybe want to drain the frame if its steel. Don’t go crazy with the hose, high pressure water is no good for bearings.

If you don’t know how to maintain a BB and/or hubs, now would be a good time to learn, it’s easy!

    Totally hardcore, bro

If your bike is gonna get damaged by biking through a little water then you need to get a less-fragile bike.
