Not a bag of blood, a bag of paint bombed money. Bank had been robbed, dude ran up the street (this is in temescal, oakland), paint bomb went off in the bag of cash, dude dropped it and the note that said: “This is a robbery give me all the cash I have a gun”

While I living in Temescal for a year in the 90′s, a bank across the street from my apartment got robbed twice. The ghetto bird would give me a spotlight escort back to my pad when I got of the bus… great neighborhood! I’m considering moving back… will start a temescaltemescal.org blog.

I fb’ed a picture I took of some guy who jumped-fell to death from a Mission St. hotel between 23rd and 24th, a few years back. He was covered with a tarp anyway. Within a day or so I got a msg from his daughter in Sacto saying that she was upset to see my photo. I took the photo down, wrote a response to apologize, and somehow she’s still in my fb friend list. Not necessarily a happy story but hopefully some evidence that not all smartphone vulturazzi are irredeemable.

im embarrassed to admit i know people who have instagrammed crime scenes, deaths, car accidents, people dying on the streets, etc.
