Slow Pour: 111 Minna opens “Red Door Coffee”

While great spots like Machine Coffee, Sightglass, De la Paz, and Ma’velous ensure that the west side of SOMA is happily caffeinated at work, it is difficult to find a decent cup if you work further east toward the bay.  This week the meet-up gallery 111 Minna has improved the situation with the launch of “Red Door Coffee.”  The shop is offering espresso drinks of a mission favorite, Fourbarrel.  Hours: 7:30am–3pm.  Lots of seating.

It’s Friday and one coffee is not enough to keep you going until Tripps.  We suggest you also stop by Special Xtra for a second cup on the way back to work.

I think Fourbarrel tastes like a combination of Sanka and Yuban from my childhood. I’ll still drink it, but am I alone?

Depends on the particular roast. I’ve had some good beans from Four Barrel. Especially their lighter roasts.
