That’s a gas station next to Arizmendi and the car is probably pulled up to use the air/water pump, which is almost always blocked by a Zipcar. But I’d ticket the pink mustache just for kicks.

Yeah, I remember living in Bayview in 1997 or so, and every street-cleaning day the sidewalks would be full, as the ticket for parking on a sidewalk was $25, and the ticket for blocking street-cleaning was $35.

When I moved here in 2000 (on a dinosaur) a sidewalk parking ticket was like $25 and blocking a crosswalk was $50. You’d see cars parked on sidewalks all the time. The choice was roll the dice on $25 or walk home 12 blocks from where ever the hell you can find a spot at 2am.
