Mission Chinese online ordering goes live tonight!

My pro tip with Mission Chinese has always been to go for lunch or order takeout to avoid that 2-hour horribly disorganized wait-list BS. Well starting tonight you’ll be able to place your order online here. Hell, they will even deliver orders over $20.

Go ahead, slam them with more traffic and convince them it was a bad idea.

Update: I think they meant Thursday night. Mission Chinese is closed Wednesdays, as several commenters pointed out.

Wait… they’ve always delivered (or, at least, for ages)… Is this just different because you can order on-line without talking to a person?

Considering how often they neglect to pick up the phone this is a big deal and a disaster waiting to happen

      • Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

Huh, I’ve never had that problem. Occasionally I’ve had to wait on hold for a couple of minutes, but never had them just not answer.

        • Nick Pal says:

You’re lucky. I’ve had several nights when I’ve tried multiple times and gotten no answer.

I thought they were closed on Wednesdays?

  3. asian wannabe says:

I also thought they were closed on wednesdays!

So do they deliver local ingredients that I took to my trash can, and bring them back to me in 30 minutes or less?

This is not only some of the worst chinese food I’ve ever had; it’s some of the worst food I’ve ever had.

I know — big surprise, fat guy like that, huh? Actually, it IS a big surprise — I would have expected a clogged artery, rather than a bubble in the artery wall, but whatever. You’ll be up and around and fucking girls young enough to be your granddaughter in a few months, Ron!

Mission Chinese reminds me of the story, Emperors’ New Clothes. It really is not good at all. Once again this restaurant is an example of what is happening in the Mission: Facebook, Googel, Apple douchbags with all there money coming in and thinking things are ‘cool’. This is seriously one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten at.

    • Herr Doktor Professor Deth Vegetable says:

Naw. It’s really, really good food at reasonable prices.

    • Nick Pal says:

This comment reminds me of billshit. San Francisco has remarkably shitty Chinese food. I have lived in several places in the city and the only place I could previously decent Americanized Chinese food was Fountain Court, which is long gone, and Eliza’s, formerly in Potrero Hill, now on California and Broderick, and they don’t deliver. Along comes Mission Chinese and offers great Chinese food at decent prices in a comfortable atmosphere, plus they deliver. Plus, they have raised over 100K for the food bank because, I dunno, fuck it? Regardless of Danny Bowien’s rise to national acclaim, it’s either a great restaurant or a serviceable restaurant, but there’s no way it’s a shitty restaurant. In a neighborhood beset by $25 chicken and waffles and other upscale comfort food that ACTUALLY IS PRETENTIOUS, it takes a special kind of asshole to convince himself that Mission Chinese is surviving on status and hype and hipsters and Facebook and OH MY GOD THE BUSES… Truth is, you don’t like Mission Chinese because even though you are a total taste maven in your own mind, who probably has an opinion on every upscale restaurant you would NEVER eat at, and how it’s sooooo lame, at the end of the day you’re just a contrearian little snot who loses his shit every time he sees more than three people lined up outside a restaurant, and runs away screaming about sheeple. So STFU let us eat our fucking Chinese food in peace.

Arguing about Foodie food is so 2009. Having this kind of disposable income is obscene. You should all be ashamed.
