The song is “1988 Girls.” The video has bits where women are dressed in outfits and with makeup that recall the 80s. Is the band itself not fetishizing (or at least nodding at) what they think was cool in the 80s?

I thought it was better when I muted it and played “sabotage’ Then I realized I was 34 and had fetishist whatever was marketed as cool to me when I was 18 years old and hadn’t evolved in any way as a person since 1997. Which was something to think about.
