I’ll generally just lean over and say something like “hey, can you guys please not talk during the music? Or else head to the back of the room?” That will almost always work, but I think it might help that I’m a giant.

Most of the shows I go to tend to be so load that I couldn’t hear someone talking. Plus if you are being rude like that at a punk or metal show somebody will probably get punchy with you.

My approach is always to ask, “Why can your friend hear what you’re saying?” This usually elicits a blank look. “Because however loud the music is in this particular spot, you’re having to talk over it so your friend can year you”….It’s a real problem in London and at the risk of sounding like an old fart, it’s because kids aren’t interested in reality any more cos they can record the show on their f***ing phones and post it on FB later. Bah! And if they still don’t shut up, I fart in their faces….

People are generally more focused on the show the closer you are to the stage. Grease yourself up and get in there.

Another hilarious option is to speak to them kindly, and offer to but them a beer if they finish up their conversation at the bar. There’s only one Judge…
