Vintage interview with Oh See John Dwyer in which he sings San Francisco’s praises

Last week it was reported that John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees is leaving San Francisco (for LA) because he’s “over” the Mission. Bummer, but, it happens, and life goes on. I’m sure he’ll do great things in LA and I’m sure he’ll be back in SF a lot, but check out this ancient Terminal Boredom interview in which then-future Oh See Lars Finberg grills Dwyer about his then-new album “The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending A Night In,” and lots more:

Lars: Can you talk about living in San Fransisco? It’s one of my favorite cites to imagine moving to, am I wrong? What’s your favorite thing about it? What’s the worst? Do you think you’ll stay forever?
John: SF is the best, I love it and everytime I leave I come back refreshed. I may die here, I guess. Tacos, beach, bikes, hot girls. Movies. Parks. A good home with good friends. What more can I say? Oh yeah, good people to write songs with. Home base. The worst: a bad taco or burrito. Hard to come by, but man when you do…look out.

Read on for the lots more.

Bummer they’re leaving. But JEEEZUZ! There are other rad bands and musicians still living, playing, and moving here. The coverage Dwyer’s departure has gotten over the last week, has been kinda nuts dudes. What’s done is done. Move on.

Remember, kids, you can’t spell LAME without LA.
