Yeah, I hate to say it, but those poor artist types who arrived in the Mission in the nineties unwittingly did gentrify the neighborhood. But it will always be this way: people who lack excitement, creativity,originality,or a life purpose that centers on something other than money, will always chase after the artists so that they may glom onto them in the hopes that some how, it will all magically transfer to them. Money only buys you a place to live, sorry yupsters and techies.
